Christie L. Sams, MD is the Director of the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Sams is a graduate of Brown University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed residency at the Harvard Longwood Residency Training Program in 2000. Dr. Sams completed the Adams House Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Fellowship at the Faulkner Hospital and currently is a candidate at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.  She was recently awarded the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society's Outstanding Psychiatrist Award for Excellence in Psychiatric Education and  maintains a private practice in general psychiatry and psychotherapy.

Robert Boland, MD

Robert Boland, MD is the Co-Director of the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Brigham and Women's/Faulkner Hospitals.  Dr. Boland joined the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program on July 21, 2014.  Dr. Boland graduated from Georgetown University and Georgetown School of Medicine, completed a residency at the Institute of Living in Hartford and a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Georgetown/Fairfax Hospital.  Dr. Boland has more than 70 scientific publications and is currently on the editorial board for the journals most related to his interests (psychiatry education and the interface of medicine and psychiatry), including Academic Psychiatry, Psychosomatics, and FOCUS (the APA’s journal of continuing education) and is Assistant Editor for the American College of Psychiatry's Psychiatry Residents in Training Examination (PRITE). He has had leadership roles in a number of organizations, including past President for the Association for Academic Psychiatry. He sits on the leadership councils for the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine and the American Association of Directors of Residency Training. In addition, he has served on various NIH study sections (grant review committees) for the last decade, and has chaired a number of special emphasis panels for NIH.
Marisol A. Segundo, MD Marisol A. Segundo, MD
Associate Training Director at Massachusetts Mental Health Center

Marisol A. Segundo, MD is Associate Training Director of the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Massachusetts Mental Health Center.  Dr. Segundo is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Miami School of Medicine.  She trained in adult psychiatry at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program.  After residency, she pursued more intensive psychotherapy training through the Adams House Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program. Dr. Segundo has also been in clinical outpatient practice treating patients with both psychotherapy and psychopharmacologic management, and currently maintains a private practice.

Christine E. Wittmann, MD, is Associate Training Director of the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Wittmann is a graduate of Yale University and of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She trained in general psychiatry at the Columbia University Residency Training Program, and in child psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital program. At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Wittmann also treats patients in the Psycho-Oncology program. She maintains a private practice, where she works with both children and adults.
